Board member & Sustainability Advisor

James served for 17 years as an officer in the Royal Air Force. In 2015 he began a new career in financial services and joined the Bank of England eventually becoming a member of their Climate Change team with specific responsibility for delivering the Bank’s climate objectives in relation to banks and insurers. More recently James joined the Sustainability team at PwC in September 2022 supporting financial service clients successfully manage climate and nature-related risks and opportunities. James has two areas of focus in his work with Secure Forests. Firstly, advising the Director on the development of Secure Forests’ carbon verification and carbon risk programs. Secondly, James is an advisor and supporter to the Non-Executive Directors who are responsible for providing advice, governance and professional guidance to support the development of Secure Forests and critically provide due diligence on its business strategy and financial management and goals.
