Built on real-world experience
Forest Signal builds on Secure Forests’ existing experience in environmental monitoring, conservation and land management, including an earlier project delivered in Belize around six years ago.
We are now combining that practical knowledge with new technology and environmental monitoring capability to develop Forest Signal into a scalable environmental intelligence system.
Developed from Cornwall
Forest Signal is being developed from Cornwall, with Secure Forests based at Mount Edgcumbe Country Park.
This provides an ideal real-world environment in which environmental technology can sit alongside practical conservation and land-management activity.
The current development of Forest Signal is supported through TechLocal funding from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, helping us advance the technology and environmental intelligence capability.
Our ambition is to develop a Cornwall-built system with the potential to support conservation and land management across the UK and internationally.
