Oak Foundation
Oak Foundation’s support has enabled Secure Forests to establish a training centre at the Mount Edgcumbe Estate in Cornwall, UK, focused on teaching land management and wildlife conservation. The programme is designed primarily for veterans and people working in the emergency services, including nurses, police officers, and firefighters, offering a meaningful alternative career pathway. Through this support, Secure Forests has also strengthened its efforts to protect and restore forests by using satellite and technical surveillance technology to improve monitoring systems and help forest rangers make informed decisions.
The National Lottery Community Fund
We are extremely grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund for supporting the development of our new website and digital learning resources. This funding is helping us strengthen our seven-week Land Management & Wildlife Conservation Programme and provide learners with additional support before, during and after their training.
Lest We Forget Association
The Lest We Forget Association has provided valuable funding towards finance, office administration and course administration. Their support has been particularly important as Secure Forests has grown, helping us strengthen the organisation behind our programmes and ensuring our learners continue to receive a well-supported and professionally managed experience.
Veteran Force
Veteran Force has supported Secure Forests with funding that enables veterans to use their skills and experience to support others within the community. Their contribution helps us create meaningful opportunities for veterans while delivering wider social and community benefit through the practical work our participants undertake.
City & Guilds
City & Guilds plays an important role in our training provision. As an approved training centre, we deliver recognised practical qualifications as part of our seven-week Land Management & Wildlife Conservation Programme, giving participants valuable skills and credentials that support progression into employment, further training and new opportunities.
Robotrix
We are proud to work in partnership with Robotrix on the development of Forest Signal, our environmental intelligence system. Together, we are developing the technology through significant TechLocal funding from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, building on our environmental monitoring experience and taking Forest Signal towards its next stage.

Secure Forests is proud to hold the Silver Award under the Employer Recognition Scheme, recognising our commitment to the Armed Forces community. Supporting veterans remains at the heart of our work, and we are now building on that commitment as we work towards achieving the Gold Award in 2027.

The Veterans Foundation has awarded Secure Forests £30,000 to support delivery of our seven week Land Management & Wildlife Conservation Programme, helping veterans gain recognised qualifications, practical experience and pathways into meaningful employment.

Through UKRI TechLocal funding, Secure Forests is creating technology jobs in Cornwall. These roles are helping to develop Forest Signal, turning local technical expertise into a practical environmental intelligence capability with long term value for conservation, land management and environmental monitoring.
