Richard Pyshorn - Secure Forests CIC

Richard a successful entrepreneur and businessmen, who runs a UK based Survival and Resilience training company “Survival Wisdom”‘ who have been established for over 10 years. Some of the teams key achievements, have been working with explorers, adventurers, celebrities and Royalty, to achieve their own personal goals. Survival Wisdom’s clients have achieved great success, with 7 World records for first time exploration challenges.
Formerly in the UK armed Forces for 30 years, his senior positions and the experience of operations and training around the world, has seen Richard gain an incredible wealth of knowledge, and real first hand experience of leading projects and people in challenging environments and challenges.
His love for the rainforest and conservation came from operating in some of the worlds remotest jungles, during his military career. Seeing the first hand the damage and destruction that humans are doing to this precious environment.
Along with many operational awards and citations and in recognition of a very full and rewarding career, in 2013 he was asked to become a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. This was a privilege that goes beyond words and is shared with Fellows such as Michael Palin and numerous incredible adventurers throughout history. A true honour and privilege to become a qualified and appointed trainer for this historical and inspirational institution.
